With acres of towering redwood forest nestled in Sonoma County's Russian River wine country, The Bohemian Grove provides an amazing environment to work in.  Members of the Bohemian Club have gathered at the Grove for many years to enjoy the Arts. Members and their guests participate in various performances, concerts, lectures, nature walks and fine dining.  During the summer events, we strive to deliver world-class service to our members and their guests while providing an enjoyable environment for our staff.  Grove staff are hardworking, gracious, collaborative, and value working in a strong team environment.

2020 Bohemian Grove Event dates for employees:

BUSPERSON RATE: 

                                            SUMMER ENCAMPMENT $13/HR


Most jobs are available during the events only, when over 2000 members and guests will stay at the Grove.
This position, like most at the Grove, is performed outdoors. It is beautiful and you are surrounded by ancient redwoods but keep in mind it can be hot at times during the day and chilly at night.

The grove dining circle busperson is responsible for the cleanliness of the dining area and the set-up of stations or tables. He/she must be willing to provide outstanding service to our membership.

DUTIES

  • Set-up of all stations in the dining circle.
  • Bus tables and carry dirty dishes to the dish room
  • Assist servers with resetting tables
  • Assist servers with serving the membership
  • Break down of the dining room and stations
  • Overall cleanliness of the work area

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 16 years of age or older (if under the age of 18 must be able to obtain a work permit).
  • Acknowledge any member with-in 10 feet with a smile and greeting
  • Carry 30-40 lbs bus tubs with dirty dishes
  • Must be willing to stand, walk, lift, and carry trays/ bus tubs on uneven ground during entire shift
  • Smile
  • Show a sense of urgency
  • Have a positive attitude
  • Show up in proper uniform (ie. Clean black closed toe shoes, black socks, ironed black slacks no jeans, and white t shirt)
  • Employees must be well-groomed and stay attentive to the membership through entire shift
  • Be willing to complete side jobs during slow periods in service
  • Be willing to ask questions or to ask for help if needed
  • Be a team player
  • Be able to communicate effectively in English
  • Must work in a safe manner when lifting trays and dealing with hot items (food, plates, coffee,etc.).
  • Must love being outdoors.
  • MUST BE ABLE TO WORK A SPLIT SHIFT
